Fablab discovery project
A the begining of the first year of enigeering school, we had to make a decorative object on the theme « Mecatronic and Science Fiction » (me likey),
using only what we could find at the local fablab.
To be honnest the « Time traveler survival kit » is an idea tha I had for year, so I took advantage of this opportunity.

WHAT WE DID
CAO, 3D printing, Laser cuting
First, I made a CAO of the briefcase on Fusion360 from Autodesk. I let my classmate make to cuttingand the printing as I already dwell in Fablabs since years.
The main goal of the project is to provide Food, Medic, tools and Knowledge to survive if a time traveler get stuck in the past ( Yes, like Doc Brown in BTTF3).
So the lower part have compartments with the tools and the survival ration.
And the upper part carrie a Raspberry Pi with Kiwix Installed.
(Well, we didn’t have a screen for the Pi, we print a plastic one meanwhile.
The Kiwix projet work as a WIFI hotspot. you can see a QR Code engraved on a wood plate to connect your divice to it).
